Back-End Developer Required.
Job purpose:
Work alongside front-end developers, full stack developers, programmers or UX specialists to create comprehensive digital solutions for business needs to make sure the website is scalable and that it can still function when hit by large loads—be that traffic or demanding scripts. Participate in all aspects of the project lifecycle including requirements gathering, functional specification, design, development, QA and maintenance
Technical Competencies/Skills:
Excellent knowledge in using Nodejs and Postgres SQL
Knowledge of Big Data project(s)Lucene, Elastic Search, Solr or similar is a plus
Excellent knowledge of Front-End frameworks, Social Monitoring and experience in Integration is a plus
Experience:
3 to 5 years of Front-End development experience in relevant industry
Previous experience of front and back end programming language (Node.JS, React, SQL, AWS, Agile Methodologies)
Experience in web application security and secure coding practices.
Previous experience of successfully implementing backend components on micro services environment
Previous experience or knowledge on Media Monitoring and Analysis (Media Intelligence) is a plus
Roles and Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with Front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements with server side logic
• Build and maintain web applications
• Design and implement of data storage and schema
• Assess the efficiency and speed of current applications
• Write clean code to develop functional web application
• Manage hosting environments
• QA testing, by Performing UI tests to optimize performance
• Maintain and improve websites and apps – including debugging and providing solutions
• Manage cutting-edge technologies to improve legacy application
