We are seeking a talented and experienced Backend Developer to join our dynamic team. As a Backend Developer at Progatix, you will play a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining the server-side logic, databases, and APIs for our web applications. You will work closely with our front-end and full-stack development teams to deliver high-quality, scalable, and performance-driven solutions.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Design, develop, and maintain server-side applications using NestJS and other relevant technologies.
· Create and manage databases using MySQL and NoSQL databases such as MongoDB, Cassandra, Cosmos, and CockroachDB.
· Develop RESTful APIs and micro services to support front-end applications.
· Collaborate with front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic.
· Optimize application performance and scalability.
· Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies in web development.
· Participate in code reviews to maintain code quality standards.
· Troubleshoot and debug server-side issues.
· Contribute to the improvement of development processes and best practices.
· Develop documentation for APIs and codebase as needed.
· Strong proficiency in NestJS for server-side development.
· Proficiency in MySQL for database design and management.
· Familiarity with one or more front-end JavaScript libraries/frameworks such as Angular, Vue.js, or React.
· Experience with NoSQL databases, including MongoDB, Cassandra, Cosmos, or CockroachDB.
· Knowledge of RESTful API design and development.
· Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git).
· Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
REQUIREMENTS:
· Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
· Minimum of two years of professional experience as a Backend Developer.
· Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
· Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
