Job Description
The Application & Database Administrator ensures the proper functioning of our business applications and databases. He provides timely response, diagnosis, and resolution to requests received by the help desk, prepare servers/services, and install and configure server software. He also performs root cause analysis for issue resolution and prevention.
He is a professional in the IT department who is critical to keeping the applications in an organization running. He will work with network engineers, system administrators to maintain/deploy application servers.
This role will provide support, guidance, and overall administration of systems such as SQL, Relativity, Everlaw, iManage, Message Crawler etc.
Here’s a glimpse of what you’ll do:
· Configure and maintain database systems, ensuring their performance, availability, and security.
- Monitor database performance, implement changes, and apply new patches and versions when required.
- Perform regular database maintenance, including backup and recovery processes.
- Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues, ensuring minimal downtime.
- Collaborate with development and operations teams to ensure databases meet application and system requirements.
- Develop and manage tools to monitor and maintain optimal performance of our enterprise applications.
- Handle regular updates, patches, and modifications to ensure our applications run smoothly.
- Collaborate with senior team members and external vendors to align technology services with the needs of our business goals.
- Provide technical support for complex issues in enterprise applications.
- Ensure compliance with company security policies and best practices for server applications.
- Participate in IT and business meetings to bridge technology with company goals.
Requirements and skills:
- A minimum of (10) ten years of experience working as a Database Administrator with the following databases: SQL Server
- Proficiency in database management systems
- Strong experience with database design, implementation, maintenance, and security.
- In-depth knowledge of database performance tuning and optimization techniques.
- Must have expert knowledge of trouble shooting Windows Server OS e.g. performance monitor, disk read/write operations, network connectivity etc.
- Outstanding communication skills (English)

- Customer centric IT service approach
- BSc/MSc in Computer Science or related field.
- Experience in working with legal applications such as Relativity, Everlaw, iManage etc. or IT Forensic applications such as Message Crawler, Cellebrite collection tools etc. are advantageous.
