Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to join our team. This role involves developing and implementing growth strategies, fostering relationships with other businesses, and driving B2B partnerships. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sales, preferably within the landscape, architecture, construction or related industries, and a demonstrated ability to build and nurture relationships with key stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify potential clients in the target market and complete appropriate research on the prospective client's business needs
- Develop and implement strategic plans to manage and grow accounts, focusing on achieving revenue goals consistently
- Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with strategic partners including architectural firms, construction companies, and other businesses that could give us business
- Actively seek out new sales opportunities through cold calling, networking and social media
- Collaborate with and coordinate diverse teams (design, project management, project coordination, estimating, marketing, etc.)
- Prepare and deliver persuasive sales presentations to prospective clients
- Negotiate contracts with prospective clients in a timely and reliable manner
- Meet and/or exceed sales targets set by management
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field required; MBA preferred
- 4-5 years of proven experience in a sales role, preferably within the landscape, architecture, construction, or related industries
- Demonstrated experience in identifying and developing strategic relationships with partners
- Proven ability to drive the sales process from plan to close
- Strong business sense and industry expertise
- Excellent mentoring, coaching and people management skills
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively negotiate and build trust with key stakeholders
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
