As a Business Development Manager at GeekyBugs, you will play a pivotal role in our growth strategy by identifying and developing new business opportunities, nurturing client relationships, and fostering strategic partnerships. You will leverage your entrepreneurial mindset, industry knowledge, and exceptional communication skills to drive revenue growth and position GeekyBugs as a leading player in the technology sector.
Responsibilities:
- Identify and target potential clients and partners through market research, networking, and outreach efforts.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, partners, and industry influencers.
- Collaborate with the internal team to create compelling proposals, presentations, and pitches tailored to client needs.
- Lead negotiations, contract discussions, and partnership agreements to ensure favorable terms for GeekyBugs.
- Stay updated on industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging technologies to drive strategic decision-making.
- Strategically manage the entire sales cycle from lead generation to deal closure, ensuring revenue targets are met.
- Provide insights and feedback to enhance product and service offerings based on market demand.
- Attend industry events, conferences, and trade shows to promote GeekyBugs' brand and establish a strong presence.
- Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and exhibitions to enhance its visibility and build valuable connections within the industry.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, product development, and customer support, to align business development efforts with overall company objectives.
- Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) for the business development function and track progress towards achieving targets.
- Regularly review and assess the effectiveness of business development strategies.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field. MBA is a plus.
- Minimum of 1.5+ years of proven experience in business development or sales, preferably within the technology or software industry.
- Strong track record of successfully closing deals and achieving revenue targets in Upwork and LinkedIn.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to identify market trends and opportunities.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Flexibility to travel for client meetings and industry events as needed.
