Job Summary: The Content Writer will be responsible for creating high-quality written content that engages our target audience and drives traffic to our website. This role will involve writing blog posts, articles, website copy, social media content, and other types of content as needed.
Responsibilities:
- Write high-quality content for the company website, blog, social media, and other marketing materials
- Conduct research and interviews to gather information and insights for content creation
- Edit and proofread content for accuracy, grammar, and style
- Ensure all content is optimized for SEO and follows best practices from SEO perspective
- Collaborate with the marketing team to develop content ideas and strategies
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends and developments to ensure content is relevant, engaging and optimized
- Maintain a consistent brand voice and tone across all content channels like tech jargons etc.
- Assist with other marketing activities as needed
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, Communications, or related field
- 1-2 years of experience in content writing, preferably in a startup or tech company
- Excellent writing and editing skills
- Strong research skills and attention to detail
- Familiarity with SEO best practices for content creation
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Knowledge of social media platforms and how to create engaging content for them
- Familiarity with content management systems such as WordPress
