Job Description
We are looking for an experienced DevOps engineer that will work closely with the technical lead to identify DevOps best practices and strategies in the company. You will establish configuration management, automate our infrastructure, implement continuous integration, and train the team in DevOps best practices to achieve a continuously deployable system.
Responsibilities
- Implement and improve monitoring and alerting
- Provide oversight for all aspects of production environment health, performance, efficiency, and capacity
- Become a part of the design and implementation of the systems used by Alethea, focusing on automation and maintainability of large-scale systems
- A solid understanding of CI/CD processes (preferably with Github actions & Jenkins)
- Providing support and acting as a stakeholder to the development team on operations-related issues
- Develop and test products in an environment that is like a production environment for fast and reliable development
- Build tools that enable effective monitoring of large-scale custom applications
- Troubleshoot issues with all aspects of the system - hardware, software, applications, and networks
- Minimize downtime by migrating applications from legacy environments
- Experience working with cloud computing and database systems
- Experience building custom integrations between cloud-based systems using APIs
- Experience developing and maintaining ML systems built with open source tools
- Experience developing with containers and Kubernetes in cloud computing environments
Skills And Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience in DevOps.
- Certification as an AWS Solutions Architect is preferred but not required
- 2-3 years of experience supporting high-volume communications services
- Identifying and deploying cybersecurity measures by continuously performing vulnerability assessment and risk management
- Support mission-critical systems by using DevOps tools, processes, culture, and supporting distributed systems
- Using tools such as Jenkins and Github actions, working on Continuous Integration / Delivery pipelines
- A high-level programming language like Go, Ruby, Python, or Bash as well as experience in writing programs and utilities in it
- Expertise in managing container orchestration tools, such as Kubernetes, at scale for 2+ years
- Extensive experience in migrating traditional technology stacks to Amazon EKS or a similar platform
- Managing production infrastructure with Terraform, CloudFormation, etc.
- Strong Linux system administration background. Experience handling GPU’s
- Ability to present and communicate the architecture in a visual form.
- Strong knowledge of AWS and GCP (AWS certified is a plus)
