Key Functions and Responsibilities
Photography/Videography
- Covering all events taking place at NHM. This includes general programming as well as regular programming e.g. museum camps, and workshops
- Creative photography of the events for use on social media and other marketing choices
- Video Recording of complete events for record purposes
- Recording short video clips for use on social media and other marketing choices
- Handling and storing all media equipment e.g. cameras, mics, tripods, monopods, SD cards, batteries, and storage devices.
- Keeping a consolidated and organized data backup of all photography and video material for future use
- Coverage of special tours and delegations at the National History Museum
- Recording general visitor testimonials and testimonials of special guests
- Live coverage for story uploads on Instagram and Facebook
- Assisting design team to provide video/photo deliverables as per their requirement
- Pre-production of event space for recording purposes
- Works in close association with the creative team to develop videos, different program ideas and concepts
Editing
- Creating pre-event teasers for NHM events
- Creating promo videos for post-event marketing of NHM events
- Creating General promo videos of NHM for Outreach, Collaboration, and Sponsorship proposals
- Editing of photographs and videos for CAP/NHM use
- Use of video and photo editing software (Premiere, Photoshop, After Effects etc.) to prepare creative packages
NHM Social Media
- Preparing consolidated content documents for NHM social media designs.
- Coordinating with the design team to get all social media and print deliverables for the purpose of marketing.
- Uploading creative Instagram and Facebook stories on social media before, during, and after the event.
- Uploading general posts to keep social media active.
- Collaboration with design for monthly social media posts.
- Creating and managing social media event pages, and send invites to relevant people.
- Answering people’s queries across all social media channels.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in liberal arts, journalism, media, mass communication or marketing
- Ability to use Adobe Premiere, After Effects, and Photoshop.
- Should possess excellent knowledge of the technical aspects involved in the production and should be able to operate different types of tools and production equipment.
- Ability to come up with innovative and creative ideas.
- Demonstrated ability to visualize and communicate strategies to both internal and external constituencies.
- Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as part of variety of collaborative teams, and to manage multiple priorities and projects effectively.
- Flexibility, positive, “can-do” attitude, and a sense of humor.
