Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Server Infrastructure Management: Install, configure, and maintain corporate server infrastructure, including a mixture of virtual and physical servers.
  • Network Monitoring: Monitor the network to ensure high availability.
  • Network Administration: Maintain and administer computer networks and related computing environments, including hardware, systems software, applications software, and all configurations.
  • User Support: Troubleshoot problems reported by users.
  • Database Management: Perform database management, maintenance, and monitoring.
  • Backup Procedures: Develop, maintain, and monitor procedures for all server backups.
  • Desktop Support: Assist in supporting the corporate desktop computing environment.
  • Additional Duties: Perform other duties as assigned.
  • SOC II Audit Assistance: Assist with SOC II Audit.
  • Employee Onboarding: Set up new employees with laptop buildouts.

Required Skills

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, a technical field, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience.

Technical Skills:

  • Knowledge of relational databases (SQL Server), including backups, SQL queries, etc.
  • Knowledge of core TCP/IP networking principles and key protocols.
  • In-depth knowledge of Windows Servers in an Active Directory environment.
  • Experience with operating master consoles to monitor the performance of computer systems and networks, and to coordinate server access and use.
  • Coordination and implementation of server and systems security measures to protect data, software, and hardware.
  • Development of processes to automate repetitive tasks within the team.
  • Lifecycle and Asset Management: Tracking and identification of all team-supported hardware and software.
  • Experience with SAN storage.
  • Experience with virtual server technology (preferably VMWare).
  • Experience with Cloud Computing technologies (preferably Amazon AWS).
  • Experience with Network and Firewall technologies (preferably Palo Alto and Fortinet Firewalls).
  • Soft Skills:
