Currently, we are looking for a Magento Developer, you will be responsible to own a variety of product development initiatives including, but not limited to enhancing and supporting our existing products; designing and building the new versions of the products, and developing & enhancing the APIs for internal and external consumption.
To work with the solution's blueprint provided, design the technical specifications, and be part of the core development and the code review process. Translate business needs into effective technical solutions using several core technologies. To properly map the business requirements to the product capabilities and layout the extensions wherever possible or to develop the bespoke components.
Key Responsibilities
- Design & Develop technical solutions that cater to business needs using Magento 2.
- Design scalable solutions that are suited to the architecture.
- Be part of the core development team and also review the delivered code to make sure it adheres to the best practices.
- Identify the performance bottlenecks by monitoring the application and providing technical solutions.
- Responsible for the quality of the deliverables of the project against requirements and promoted lead practices.
- Deliver fit/gap analysis between requirements and OOTB features.
- Partner with product teams to clarify requirements, initiate solutions, and develop deliverable software in the iterations of Scrum.
- Stay up to date with new technologies (internal capabilities, and vendor offerings) by evaluating industry and design trends
Requirements
- BS or MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent field.
- Fluency in written and spoken English
- 3+ years of experience as a Magento 2 developer
Desired Skills
- Strong PHP and Magento 2 skills with an emphasis on Object Orientated Programming
- Work experience in developing APIs and integrating 3rd parties like shipping, payment gateways, etc.
- Good command of SQL, JSON, REST, SOAP
- Familiarity with PSR and tools like code sniffer
- Team spirit with the ability to go solo with no supervision when required
- A passion for learning
