Job Description
As a Product Design Engineer at Grit 3D, you will play a pivotal role in the development of innovative products optimized for 3D printing. You will be responsible for the end-to-end process of product design, from conceptualization to final prototyping, leveraging the latest advancements in additive manufacturing techniques. Additionally, you will be instrumental in managing our 3D printers and print farm, ensuring optimal performance and uptime. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, creative vision, and customer-centric focus
Job Description:
- Develop innovative designs and products using 3D CAD software.
- Utilize design thinking methodologies to identify user needs and create user-centered designs.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to conceptualize, design, and prototype new products.
- Manage and maintain our 3D printers and print farm, ensuring uptime and troubleshooting any issues that may arise.
- Creating 3D Models from Existing Physical Parts and upgrade yourself into learning new techniques and tools for Reverse Engineering
- Provide after-sales support for 3D printers and product design services, including assisting customers with technical inquiries and resolving any issues they may encounter.
- Communicate effectively with customers to understand their requirements, provide updates on project progress, and deliver exceptional customer service.
- Stay current with industry trends and advancements in additive manufacturing technology.
Requirements:
- Bachelors in Engineering (Mechanical/Industrial/Mechatronics, or related field) from a Renowned University
- Proven experience of 2-3 years in 3D CAD design, with proficiency in software such as SolidWorks, CREO,AutoCAD fusion 360, or similar.
- Knowledge of design thinking methodologies and experience applying them to product development projects.
- Experience managing and troubleshooting 3D printers is highly desirable.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Strong Knowledge of SolidWorks or Equivalent 3D CAD Software.
- Must have a Problem Solving Mindset
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Passion for additive manufacturing and a desire to push the boundaries of what is possible with 3D printing technology.
