Job Description
Are you an ambitious Project Manager looking to expand your expertise into the Project Management Office domain within the travel tech industry? As the PMO/Project Manager at Atlas, you will hold a dual role overseeing projects across our operations and taking the lead on key internal projects and projects involving major clients and partners. This position offers the unique opportunity to shape our project management practices while directly influencing customer engagement and satisfaction.
Internal Relationships:
This role will report directly to the Chief Customer Officer. You will work closely with teams across the business including Sales, Growth, Customer, Technology, Product and Finance to ensure project objectives and timelines are successfully met. Additionally, you will be instrumental in fostering a culture of structured project management practices throughout the organization.
External Relationships:
In this capacity, you will interact with key customers to ensure project deliverables align with their requirements and enhance their partnership with Atlas. Your role involves nurturing these relationships and ensuring that Atlas is consistently seen as a proactive and reliable partner.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Management Office (PMO):
- Establish and maintain a framework for project governance within Atlas
- Develop best practices, processes, and standards for project management and execution
- Monitor project progress company-wide, reporting insights and updates to senior management
- Manage shared resources, budgets, and timelines to ensure the successful delivery of projects
Project Delivery:
- Directly manage major internal and external projects, coordinating cross-functional teams to deliver on ambitious goals and timeframes
- Act as the primary relationship manager for critical client projects, ensuring all milestones are met within agreed timelines and budgets.
- Facilitate communication between stakeholders and resolve any issues that may impact project success
- Establish and implement quality assurance processes to maintain high standards in project outcomes
- Evaluate project performance using appropriate systems, tools, and techniques to measure project traits like return on investment (ROI), customer satisfaction, and team performance
- Drive continuous improvement by reviewing current project management practices and incorporating new techniques that enhance productivity and project outcomes.
- Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and project management methodologies, adapting and integrating these elements into project workflows to maintain competitive advantage
Requirements:
Communication & Leadership:
- Excellent communication, presentation, and leadership skills to effectively manage diverse teams and stakeholders
- Ability to act as a bridge between technical teams and non-technical clients or executives
Skills & Knowledge:
- Proven track record in project management, with previous exposure to PMO leadership and facilitation.
- Familiarity with the latest project management tools and technologies, and an interest in delivering transformation through AI
- Experience from an international environment managing cross-border projects
