Key Job Functions:
• Write clear, concise, and grammatically correct website, blog, and landing page copy across a wide range of clients and industries – with a heavy emphasis on golf product and lifestyle
• Produce content that is both engaging to the user and optimized for search engines
• Work independently to write and deliver projects on time
• Perform ongoing keyword research including discovery and expansion of keyword opportunities
• Write headlines, meta descriptions, and alt tags to optimize the content through SEO best practices
• Incorporate keywords and SEO best practices in web copy
• Develop and maintain a clear and consistent brand voice
• Research topics as needed to supplement provided materials
• Understand feedback and make necessary changes in a timely manner
Desired Skills & Experience:
• 3-5 years of experience in SEO and content writing, preferably at an agency (certifications a plus)
• Understanding of basic SEO concepts (non-technical) and how they apply to content marketing
• Strong written communication skills
• Proofreading and editing experience a plus
• Good interpersonal and verbal communication skills
• Extreme attention to detail
• Keyword research experience
• Experience with SEO tools like SEMrush; experience with Google Analytics for reporting purposes a plus
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while delivering polished work under tight deadlines
• Familiarity with commonly used style guides and an interest in the latest SEO trends
• Self-motivated and well-organized with an eagerness to learn
