Villaex Technologies is seeking a talented Senior Backend Engineer to join our growing team in Johar Town, Lahore. As a Senior Backend Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust backend systems that power our innovative technology solutions. Responsibilities:
1. Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs to support Villaex Technologies' products and services.
2. Collaborate closely with frontend engineers, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
3. Architect efficient, reliable, and secure backend systems that meet business objectives and performance goals.
4. Mentor junior engineers, conduct code reviews, and provide technical guidance to ensure code quality and adherence to best practices.
5. Optimize performance and scalability of backend systems through continuous monitoring, tuning, and improvement efforts.
6. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, bugs, and performance bottlenecks in a timely manner.
7. Stay updated on emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices to drive innovation and maintain a competitive edge.
8. Participate in Agile development processes, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
Requirements:
1. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
2. X+ years of experience in backend development, with proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Java, Python, Go, or Node.js.
3. Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented design principles.
4. Experience with relational and NoSQL databases, such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, etc.
5. Familiarity with cloud platforms and services, such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
6. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
7. Effective communication and collaboration abilities, with a proven track record of working in cross-functional teams.
8. Prior experience in mentoring junior engineers and leading technical initiatives is desirable.
9. Ability to work onsite during night shifts (7:00 PM to 4:00 AM) at our Johar Town location in Lahore.
