JOB OVERVIEW
We are looking for a Senior Business Development Executive to join our team. You must have experience in bidding, closing deals and managing software development projects. You will primarily be responsible for closing software development leads, working closely with our in-house digital marketing and technical team. The role may be developed in multiple directions, including managing on-going client relationships.
If you’re an experienced business development executive in the provision of bespoke software development services with excellent communication skills, then this role is perfect for you. We expect you to be motivated and results-driven, and enjoy working in a multidisciplinary team environment.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Leverage your extensive experience on Upwork to identify, engage, and nurture potential clients.
- Develop and maintain a strong network of contacts and relationships within the Upwork community.
- Prospect for new business opportunities by conducting thorough market research, competitor analysis, and identifying potential leads.
- Initiate and lead the entire business development cycle, from prospecting to closing deals, ensuring a seamless transition to the delivery and account management.
- Understanding client needs, and tailoring solutions to effectively address those needs.
- Negotiate terms and pricing with potential clients, focusing on building long-lasting partnerships.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless project handover and client satisfaction.
- Keep abreast of industry trends, market developments, and emerging technologies to position the company as a thought leader.
- Provide regular updates, reports, and insights on all the activities and progress to the management team.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/ Business Management or relevant field.
- Minimum 3 years of proven experience on Upwork.
- A strong and impressive upwork profile with a history of successful projects and positive client feedback.
- Exceptional communication and negotiation skills, both written and verbal.
- Proven ability to consistently achieve or exceed targets and quotas.
- Self-motivated, driven, and goal-oriented individual with a passion for business development.
- In-depth understanding of market trends, client behavior, and competitive landscape.
- Ability to work independently and as a part of a team, with excellent time management and organisational skills.
- Proficiency in using digital software and other tools to manage and track leads.
