Senior Manager - Data Analytics

Job Description

The Senior Manager of Data Analytics at Strategic Systems International (SSI) will lead the company’s data analytics efforts, driving innovation and improvements in business processes through data-driven insights. This role will be responsible for creating and executing strategies to optimize analytics and business intelligence (BI) across the organization, managing a team of data analysts, and ensuring alignment with the company’s objectives. Reporting directly to the VP of Development, the Senior Manager will focus on improving customer satisfaction, retention, and profitability through rigorous data analysis and cross-functional collaboration.

Key Responsibilties
 

  • Data Strategy Development: Establish and manage a company-wide data analytics strategy aimed at enhancing performance, growth, and customer satisfaction.
  • Framework Creation: Build and implement scalable frameworks for data-driven modeling and analysis, integrating both existing and new tools, practices, and procedures.
  • Churn Analysis & Mitigation: Lead monthly churn analysis, cross-functional churn war room sessions, and develop strategies to mitigate customer attrition.
  • Customer Experience Improvement: Use customer and operational data to identify pain points and provide actionable solutions to improve customer retention and satisfaction.
  • Data Insights and Leadership Presentations: Analyze and present data-driven insights to senior leadership to inform strategic decision-making and recommend areas for improvement.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with various teams to align on data-driven goals, provide insights, and meet organizational KPIs.
  • Technological Evaluation: Continuously review and implement new data technologies to support business intelligence and data capabilities.
  • Data Governance: Ensure the accuracy, integrity, and scalability of the company's data through ongoing monitoring and evaluation.
  • Team Management: Lead and mentor a team of data analysts, prioritizing projects and providing strategic guidance.
  • Customer Segmentation & Targeting: Leverage statistical models to identify customer segments for targeted acquisition and retention efforts.
  • Campaign Analytics: Oversee the design and administration of marketing campaign tracking, analysis, and reporting, ensuring data-driven decision-making.
  • BI Tools & Database Management: Administer and manage the company-wide BI database and front-end analytics tools to support internal reporting and analysis needs.
     

Qualifications, Skills And Experience
 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Mathematics, Statistics, or related quantitative fields. A Master’s degree is preferred but not required.
  • 7-10 years of experience managing large-scale data analytics across an organization.
  • Proven track record in business process analysis, data architecture, and design.
  • Experience in the clean or renewable energy sectors is highly desirable.
  • Strong familiarity with data insights and analytics tools like Tableau, Power BI, and Excel.
  • Experience with big data and cluster computing environments.
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Proven ability to lead and mentor a team, set priorities, and align team goals with company-wide objectives.
  • Demonstrated aptitude in organizing and analyzing large datasets, building scalable processes, and translating complex data into actionable insights.
  • Experience using mathematical and statistical modeling techniques to drive business decisions.
  • Ability to tie detailed analyses to broader business goals, driving company performance and customer satisfaction improvements.
