PHP developer is responsible for writing server-side web application logic. PHP developers usually develop back-end components, connect the application with the other (often third-party) web services, and support the front-end developers by integrating their work with the application.
Primary Responsibilities:
integration of user-facing elements developed by front-end developers
Build efficient, testable, and reusable PHP modules
Solve complex performance problems and architectural challenges
Integration of data storage solutions {{may include databases, key-value stores, blob stores, etc.}}
Troubleshoot, test and maintain the core product software and databases to ensure strong optimization and functionality
Education/Experience Requirements:
proven experience as a PHP developer in a competitive environment
Strong knowledge of PHP coding and web-based applications
Good understanding of website integration and software creation
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Able to follow clear instructions according to client demands
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Creative ability to produce effective solutions to client problems
Good team player that is enthusiastic about delivering results
Able to work seated in front of a computer screen for long hours at a time
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
PHP, MySQL, YII, HTML5, CSS Javascript, jQuery Healthy obsession with web standards; especially YII coding standards.
Strong knowledge of MVC and its design patterns.
Strong Knowledge of web application security.
Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as GIT.
Knowledge of Web API's and Curl.
Proficient in maintaining code standards and code documentation.
MYSQL - Should have expertise in writing SQL queries, joins, optimization, etc.
Ability to interact with a diverse group of people.
Willingness to be a part of a team of developers where sharing knowledge is a priority.
Excellent organizational skills; manage multiple long-term projects along with often urgent smaller tasks while tracking time accurately against budgeted hours.
