Job Overview:
We are looking for a seasoned Senior Software Quality Assurance (SQA) Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a robust background in quality assurance practices, a thorough understanding of the software development lifecycle, and extensive experience with automated testing. Knowledge of the MERN stack is highly desirable.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and execute detailed test plans and test cases.
- Perform manual and automated testing of web applications to ensure quality and functionality.
- Detect, document, and monitor software defects.
- Work closely with developers and product managers to ensure software quality throughout the development process.
- Establish, maintain, and improve test automation frameworks and tools.
- Conduct regression testing and ensure all identified bugs are resolved.
- Provide feedback on usability and user experience issues.
- Lead the QA efforts as the sole SQA in the company, setting the standard for best practices in QA processes.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
- 3+ years of experience in software quality assurance.
- In-depth understanding of QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
- Practical experience with automated testing tools and frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Cypress).
- Familiarity with the MERN stack.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, agile development environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with performance and load testing tools.
- ISTQB or similar certification in software testing is a plus.
- Experience with CI/CD tools and methodologies.
