Job Description

  • 2+ years of Shopify web development experience
  • Experience building, launching, and maintaining Shopify stores
  • Experience with Shopify’s object/properties, AJAX API, and Metafields
  • Experience working with 3rd party services and APIs, specifically plugins for Shopify
  • Experience migrating data from other platforms to Shopify
  • Demonstrable expertise with HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript, with in-depth understanding of DOM
  • Experience with Shopify’s theming system and Liquid templating
  • Experience with dependency management tools (NPM, Browserify, RequireJS, etc)
  • Experience with CSS pre and post-processors–specifically SASS
  • Experience with implementing/debugging 3rd party Shopify apps, as well as creating custom solutions
  • Thorough understanding and experience with vanilla JavaScript, jQuery, ES2015/ES6, and modern JavaScript frameworks
  • Thorough testing and debugging skills with browser console and external tools
  • Experience developing for responsive layouts for desktop, tablet, and mobile
  • Thorough understanding of Git and workflow processes (e.g. GitFlow)
