Shams Power is scaling up and expanding its portfolio of Commercial and Industrial (C&I) Solar Projects and is looking for an exceptional Sr. Design Engineer (Civil/Structure) to be a part of its dynamic and result-driven team. Responsibilities

  • Prepare the layouts on AutoCAD and concept design of the PV mounting structures and civil works, fencing, guard rails, staircase, etc.
  • Prepare scope of work consultant and contractors
  • Technical Comparison of all the quotes from Consultant/Contractors
  • Coordinate with Consultants for Optimized structure design in compliance with International and Pakistan building standards
  • Prepare/Review BOQ of the project.
  • Review the mounting structure designs ad reports submitted by the contractors/sub-contractors
  • Documentation of all projects i.e., customers’ drawings, mounting structure drawings, layouts, SAP model and reports, Stability certificates, etc.
  • Prepares as-built view of as-built drawings.
  • QA/QC of the structure material delivered and installed. This includes FAT/SAT and onsite inspection during installation and post installation

 

Qualifications

  • At least 3 to 4 years in a similar role preferably with the solar industry
  • B.Sc. Civil/Structure Engineering or higher
  • Strong leadership and communication abilities, demonstrated or titled position, (oral/written/presentation/interpersonal) to drive results in a team environment under minimal direction with internal and external customers
  • Proven track record of B2B sector, prior knowledge in Solar or renewables energy is a big plus
  • Good analytical and project management skills
  • Must be familiar with PPA contract requirements
