Job Description
The content Writer position supports digital project teams by preparing documents as requested by our clients. The writer is responsible for using his/her writing and referencing skills to enhance the Agency’s copy offerings to the Client. The writer is responsible for understanding the copy platform for each assigned account.
- Acts as Content Writer on most types of projects, with limited guidance from senior staff.
- Takes responsibility for preparation of assigned documents to a high standard, working in accordance with and the customer's requirements.
- Writes and edits articles, newsletters, and blogs about medical, pharmacy, digital, adherence, specialty pharmacy and other healthcare topics for the Company’s consumer audience.
- Identifies new story ideas from clinical research and healthcare news trends. Maintains familiarity with current industry practices and guidelines that affect medical writing.
- Performs on-line literature searches, as requested, to support department clinical reviews.
- Reviews, edits, and evaluates marketing content directed for consumer, payer, and healthcare professional audiences for clinical accuracy, grammar and health literacy level.
- Assists with planning and coordinating group writing activities with department team members.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree, advanced degree
- 1-2 years of experience, preferably in healthcare advertising or related field
- Copywriter portfolio, or "spec" portfolio demonstrating strong creative abilities
- Excellent oral communication and presentation skills
- Knowledge, background in science and medicine
