Job Description
The Role: You will be responsible for the design, development, and maintenance of WordPress websites. You will be responsible for implementing new features in existing WordPress installations as well as developing new projects from scratch.
The Location: Islamabad, Pakistan
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with stakeholders and product development team to gather requirements, design and implement innovative solutions.
- Write well-designed, testable, efficient code by using web development best practices and functionality.
- Create basic website layouts and user interfaces with HTML and CSS.
- Integrate data from various back-end services and databases.
- Gather and refine specifications and requirements based on technical needs.
- Create and maintain software documentation.
- Be responsible for maintaining, expanding, and scaling our site.
- Stay plugged into emerging technologies and industry trends and apply them to operations and activities.
- Collaborate with web designers and graphic designers to realize visual design intent.
- Write WordPress code by using WordPress APIs.
Basic Qualifications: We are looking for a candidate having 2 to 3 years of experience with the following skill set:
- Familiarity with WordPress and related WordPress products is a must.
- Familiarity with WordPress and related products
- Solid experience in creating wireframes, storyboards, user flows, process flows.
- Proficiency in front-end development web programming languages such as HTML and CSS, PHP, JQuery, and JavaScript.
- Experience with relational databases, such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, and/or SQLite, is desirable.
- Familiarity with test-driven and agile development practices
- Knowledge of code versioning tools such as Git, or SVN is a big plus.
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to learn, embrace and apply new technologies and techniques.
