Job Description

As a WordPress Developer at ProntX, you will be responsible for creating custom WordPress themes and plugins from scratch, ensuring high performance, scalability, and seamless functionality. You'll collaborate closely with our design and project management teams to deliver user-friendly, SEO-optimized, and responsive websites.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Design, develop, and maintain custom WordPress themes and plugins based on project requirements.
  • Optimize websites for performance, security, and scalability.
  • Implement custom post types, taxonomies, and advanced custom fields (ACF).
  • Ensure responsive, cross-browser compatibility and adherence to web standards.
  • Integrate third-party APIs, e-commerce platforms, and other services into WordPress websites.
  • Debug and troubleshoot issues across various WordPress sites, providing maintenance support as needed.
  • Collaborate with designers to translate designs into pixel-perfect WordPress implementations.
  • Follow SEO best practices while developing for optimal website rankings.
  • Stay updated with the latest WordPress trends, tools, and techniques.

 

Qualifications:

 

  • 3+ years of experience in WordPress development with a focus on custom themes and plugin development.
  • Expertise in PHP, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and MySQL.
  • Strong knowledge of the WordPress core, hooks, filters, and REST API.
  • Familiarity with version control tools (Git).
  • Experience with performance optimization techniques like caching and lazy loading.
  • Knowledge of WooCommerce, Elementor, or other popular WordPress plugins.
  • Familiarity with accessibility (WCAG), security, and SEO best practices.
  • Problem-solving mindset and strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and project management skills.
