Job Description
WordPress Developers design, implement and manage websites using WordPress, a free, open-source content management system (CMS). They are responsible for both front-end and back-end development — everything from plug-ins to security updates. WordPress Developers establish and guide website architecture, so sites are attractive and user-friendly. They are responsible for WordPress training as well as troubleshooting and resolving website problems for clients and co-workers.
- Design, implement and manage high-quality websites using WordPress
- Collaborate with members of a creative team
- Supervise visual layout of content
- Regularly check and track content for accuracy
- Edit, proofread and suggest improvements to written content
- Work in a multidisciplinary team of web designers, marketing executives and photographers
- Adhere to SEO rules
- Determine and track important KPIs
- Track and analyze website’s traffic
- Produce and present reports
- Manage front-end and back-end website development
- Create WordPress plug-ins and themes
- Maintain well-documented, reusable, and transferrable code
- Troubleshoot and resolve website problems for clients and co-workers
- Stay on top of new developments in software, trends, and practices
REQUIREMENTS:
- Strong understanding of HTML and CSS
- Strong understanding of JavaScript
- Familiarity with WordPress
- Familiarity with Elementor
- Familiarity with WordPress forums to solve problems related to themes & plugins.
- Ability to design Web pages based on web design provided by the creative department.
- Familiarity with the basics of UI/UX for websites
- Understanding of customer buying journeys
